We loved everything about this wedding, from the weather, to the various wedding locations, to the guests, to of course, our wedding couple. We have known Ashley and Shane for sometime because over the last three years they have been guests at weddings we have photographed. Speaking of the past, around 15 years ago I was actually at Shane's sister's wedding as a guest! I would never have realized this until his sister said she remembered me. Small world!
The reception occurred at Hyde Hall in Cooperstown, which is a photographer's paradise. We were granted access to the mansion so we might have gone a little overboard with the posed shots. As day turned into night, the libations flowed, the band rocked out, and everyone hit the dance floor. We captured it all with our cameras for you to enjoy!
Caitlin and Jeff are no strangers to Korver Photography. We photographed them at two previous weddings and finally it was their day! The scenery was beautiful at their lake venue. This wedding was filled with so much love and support from friends and family, and many adorable children. Caitlin and Jeff were so easy going on their special day, and seemed to really take in and appreciate everything and everyone that came together to celebrate them. We hope you enjoy these photos as much as we enjoyed capturing them!
Caitlyn and Marc put together a perfect wedding day. We started taking pictures in Utica, had the wedding there too, and on our way to the reception we passed a giant field of pink flowers. We were able to wave down the party bus, position our newly married couple and took one of our favorite pictures of 2017! The final hours of this day that went by in a blur, were spent at the Otesaga in Cooperstown. Enjoy the images!
Our blog posts have been a little delayed because we had an addition to our Korver Photography family. This little man showed up two weeks early with a full head of hair. We don't shoot newborn photos, but I think I am going to try with this little guy in a couple weeks so look for that in the future!
Many little stories unfold during a wedding day, some sentimental, some romantic, and some funny. Photographs are often not enough to convey the complete story of what transpired, but they do offer flashes of memories that will remind those involved of what happened.
The first ring picture in this blog post is of Alysa's great great grandmother's ring (I can't remember exactly how many greats are in front of grandmother, but it was definitely more than one!) that has been passed down through the family. It is well over 100 years old!
Alysa and Brian exchanged cards and gifts before the day's events began. He shared that they both wrote in their cards, "I love you and I like you." It is a little romantic saying they both have and it is a testament to how well they know and care for one another.
Finally, the reception... the dance floor was filled with some of the funniest dances we have seen in a long time. There was zero downtime during the entire night. If anyone knows my sister Kaitlin, she fit right in with some of her own crazy dance moves. We loved this wedding and hope you love the pictures we took!
